FARM SPECIFIC QUESTIONS:
Question: What does my child need to bring with them?
Answer: We want to make sure that the children are safe and have a good time here at Camp. A few of the things that they will need to do that are listed on our
Farm Camp Packing List. To help us keep your camper healthy and their yurt free of critters please do not send food or candy items.
Question: If I want to send a care package to my child during camp where should it be sent?
Answer: Please send all mail to: Farm Camp 2875 Denning Road Claryville, NY 12725. Don’t forget to pack mailing supplies (a few stamps, envelopes, and paper).
Question: Where will my child be sleeping?
Answer: At the farm camp we have different housing than on main camp. We live in circular yurts that house 8 campers and 2 counselors. The beds are bunk beds and a twin or cot sized sheet will fit the mattress. The yurts do not have electricity and may get cold at night, so make sure to pack an extra blanket! The Main building is the Dining Hall, which is within 50 feet of most yurts. This facility houses the kitchen, dining room, screened-in porch, as well as new bathroom and shower facilities.
Making new friends is an essential part of the camp experience and cabin assignments are the key to creating a positive camp environment. Frost Valley YMCA places campers in cabin groups based on the following criteria:
- An exclusive mutual request made by 2 campers who are the same age.
- Age (less than 12 months apart)
Camper’s grade is not considered in cabin assignments.
Campers requesting to be together that are more than 12 months apart may be honored but the older child must be placed in the younger cabin assignment.
Frost Valley YMCA will make every effort to honor special requests for cabin mates but due to the amount of campers registered per session we do not guarantee any placements.
this is terrific!

I love the new site! I am so happy to see that the farm camp has “come into its own” and is getting the attention it deserves. It was great to see all the changes today when we dropped Caroline at camp! I know this summer will be even better than last year, if that’s possible!
Hi, my daughter is going to farm camp, I was curious if she can bring a bikini.
Please have them pack modest clothes and swimwear. During our staff training the staff felt that if someone had swimwear that was too skimpy or has strings that they would politely ask them to wear a T-shirt over it. Thank You!
